I apologise for not blogging sooner. It has been a while.
I am in my 3rd 12 week challenge , it started off on a bad note, I got terribly sick and was out of action for about 3 weeks.
But I am now back, to my exercising routine and eating plan.
I have to work hard this challenge ends the first week of January 2014.
I am going to bring in the new year, at 96.00kgs or lighter that is my goal and that is what I am working too.
I must say my Diet and Fitness coach Kelly Stegen, has had such patience with me and she is brilliant, helping me. As a mom she understands the ups and downs that comes with motherhood, she has and is such a motivator and keeps me going. Here is her website http://kellystegen.wix.com/kell
I am getting tired and just want to it to be over with , but I need to keep going I keep reminding myself how far I have come, and I don't want to go back. I keep reminding myself, there are people out there that are hoping I fail, I know it is sad but true. You get people like that, in this sad world.
So far 22 kg's down,and 10 pant sizes down.
Until Next time, Keep Strong and Keep going.
Love YM.

The Body adapts
Got one week left of the Well I am Challenge. I haven't lost the amount of weight I wanted to lose, but I have lost in Cm's and I have gone down 2 dress sizes. Yippy (happy dance)
My Body adapt very quickly to my exercise routine, so I need to change things up , which I have been told.
So I have add a small 15 min workout in the morning, (I know I am mad, it is hard getting out that warm bed) and then also added cycling to my evening workouts as well.
The end of this challenge is not the end nor is it the end of the weight loss challenge.
I have signed up for the Total sports Ladies 10kim race on the 21 July. Also I have signed up to do another 12 weekend challenge end July.
Trying to keep myself going and not give up , when things don't go to plan.
Until next time.
Good Luck.

Entered my First Run/Walk Race
I am half way through the Well Iam Challenge and I have lost 4.1 kg's already and about 18.5cms. ( Which is a total weight loss of 15.8kgs since Oct 2012.)
I am execrise 5 times a week. I am starting to see the changes and my body has never been so sore and tired. I am really out of my comfort zone for sure.
My friend (Tish) and I have entered the Spar Ladies Race 5km, which is on the 23 June and then we have also entered the Total Sports Ladies Race 10kms , which is on the 21st of July. The exercise bug has bitten me for sure, I am also really enjoying my Taibo and Kettle Bell classes.
Pushing my boundaries and stepping out of my comfort zone, I did my first walking training session on Sunday, I was so sore, but the 45min walk was worth it, felt so much better. I had to stop a few times my lower back was very sore, but I was "stupid" I wore my new Reebok for the first time on my 5 km, which I found out, was the wrong thing to do, I should have wore them in first.
so I have been wearing my Reebok trainers this week, so hopefully when I go for my 5km walk again this weekend , things go a lot better and I won't have to stop as much.
I am also going to be doing some Aqua aerobics classes while I am on 2 weeks leave. Don't laugh, I know I also have a vision of all old grannies in the class too, but after some research (googled it) I see it is a good way to help on the weigh loss journey.
And to change things up abit.

I am Back - bringing Sexy Back !!!
Helllllooooooooo out there,
I haven't been blogging for almost a year, alot has happened this year, between the Miscarriage, my work moving, falling pregnant and having our baby girl. Now it is time to get back to the drawing board and start on my weight loss journey.
Needing to lose a total 41.3kg's. So the long and worthwhile road to weight loss and better health has began.
I have already lost my pregnancy weight 14.6kg's , so now the real hard road begins.
I hope you are still all there to help and support me with this long road?
I realise it is going to be a hard one, with 2 children to look after, one which is still breastfeeding, and a husband to look after as well.
Exercise is on the back burner for now, until I have my 6 week check up with the Dr. Which will be on the 3rd December 2012.
I know this has been a stop & start process for me until now, but while pregnant the healthy eating and fitness bug had bitten me, and realising what I need to do and all the hard work I need to do,
I have two beautiful children that I want to be able to run and play with and not be, tired and to uncomfortable to be active with my kids.
I have started my Skinny Jean fund, putting money away with every loss, towards me buying a pair or two of Skinny Jeans. ;-)
Here is to a thinner, and more health Mommy & Wife.

Zumbathon
This pass Saturday I did the 3 hour Zumbathon, for ECR Toy Story. We Raised about R6000 and about 5 black bags full of toys for the children for Christmas.
It rained the whole week, and we were hoping mother nature would be on our side, no such luck, it rained on Saturday as well.
we had about 50 odd Ladies there,it was great fun, it was a double bonus, it was for a great cause as well we got a workout too.
I didn't go weigh this weekend as I had to be at the rugby club at 7:30am. So but I will be weighing in this Saturday Morning.
I am getting bored, I am trying to come up with new recipes and push pass this point, as this is the point where I would normally throw in the towel and give up.
And I refuse to give up. I will lose the weight I need to lose.
So until next week.

So far a Total loss of 5.4 kg’s……
Well the past 5 weeks, I have lost a total of 5.4kg’s, this weekend the wheels fell off, but I am back on track again. I heared a very good saying today, “a runner can’t run while looking be hide him, he looks forward.” So what is done in the past is done, and no use looking back all the time, as it is going to slow or stop us from moving forward.
Got 3 hour zumbathon this Saturday, to help raise money for ECR Toy story and get fit at the same time. One doesn’t have to do all 3 hours, you can do as much as you want and stop and start as well. Looking forward to it. Hope to get the energy levels up and the weight down some more too.
For some reason this week has been hard claiming back on to the wagon.
But I am taking one day at a time. I like get the weightless e-club newsletters and I saw the success stories. Blow away on the amount of weight people have lost. And yesterday on my way home, hear Jane lanely Thomas talk about her 18 kg weight loss. It can be done.
Good luck and chat soon.

Saturday’s Weigh In…. 2.4 kg loss
After the week I had, I didn’t want to face the scale. But I am glad I did. I got a very super surprise when I saw I had lost 2.4kg’s!!!. I must confuse I was about 80% good last week and didn’t expect such a great lost, especially since I was pumped full of Meds after the D& c and having the flu.
Every gram down for me is a victory and a step closer for me to being healthier for me to have my baby number 2.
I am feeling better. And I hope this week is a good week too. I can feel in my clothes are feeling loose and I am drinking all my water. I am waking up in the morning feeling a lot more refreshed and fill of energy.
I haven’t started exercising yet, but I plan to start this weekend.
Remember

A lost….
I know I am a very bad blogger. My aim in for once a week, to Blog if I can do more I will.
These past few weeks have been really hard for me. I had a miscarriage, I found out on Friday the 7th October that the embry0 didn’t survive and died at 7 weeks and 6 days. Not sure why, and the test that were done had no answer either.
It has been an emotional week and a half. I have my good days and bad.
you see:
We found out when I was first pregnant with my daughter we found out that I am O negative, and my hubby is O positive, so once I had my daughter I had to have an anti-D injection, as my daughters blood was tested and hers was positive, so I was given the injection to stop my blood making anti-bodies against O positive blood. Here is a website link which explains it better. http://pregnancy.about.com/od/rhfactor/a/Rh-Factor-in-Pregnancy.htm
So when we went at 7 wks. And 2 days everything was fine and I had the odd brown discharged which I have had before, but last week Thursday I was feeling achy, had abit of a fever and had lower back pain. And wasn’t happy something felt a miss. And that is why I went into see him. And there was no heart beat and it only measured 7 wks. 6 days, so It died before 8 wks. He also checked for blood flow and there was no blood flow going to the embryo either. So he booked me in for that Friday evening, 5pm I was in theatre and had the D&c. And was released about 2 or so hours later to go home. Once I had gone to the loo and had eaten. I was in a lot of pain on the weekend, my body was very sore and everywhere . It felt like I was in a wrestling match and came off 2nd best.
I had my check up and the Dr seemed quite positive that we will be able to have another baby. And is happy with everything too.
I am quite scared to try again, in case it happens again. But in the meantime while I let my body heal, I am making sure I take care of myself over the next few months to get all fit and healthy for when we try again.

+ Positive Pregnancy Test Result.
What a feeling!!, Hello yes we are excited and scared, wondering what have we done???
Yippy Mamma Bear is Pregnant for a 2nd time. I have had my sups ions for a few days now, but need the confirmation first. We found out on Saturday, with a home test and then off to the path lab, to be 100% sure with a blood test. And it was positive.
Now we are all very happy and taking things easy, making sure I still eat healthy just now, on the different end of the scale baby’s health is the important issue here.
Mamma bear ( me) not doing to great caught a cold, so trying to get rid of it without taking meds, all I am allowed is panado, saline spray for the nose and a special cough spyry you can take when you preggies.
Well I type this blog, I feel absolute crap. But can’t let too much no, as work has no idea what is going one, we waiting until 12 weeks, before we tell my work.
I am hoping things will improve as the weeks and month more along. Otherwise it is going to be a very long 9 months for sure.
I got a healthy eating plan designed for pregnant woman.
I know this is a speed hump in the road, but now this blog as a different angle on weight gain and weigh loss.
Believe you I learnt my lesson in my first pregnancy, and I still have 7 odd kg’s of that pregnancy still on me.
I hope you will stay and share my new journey with me, a slight detour but at the end we will met up with the weight loss highway we all travel on.
I saw this and wanted to share with you:
“Chocolate Mousse or Skinny Jeans – You decide?”
Cheers for now.

Allergic reaction
Well Yesterday, I went and had blood taken, 5 viles later. To try and find out what is causing these allergic reactions. They said it will take a week to get the results, so fingers crossed that I can get some answers.
Been suffering with this on and off now since 2006. As it is irregular,so it has been and is hard to pin point down from what. I know certain meds I can take, but it happens even if I haven’t take those meds. I am left with more Questions then answers.
And the Doc said there is a 50/50 chance we will find out or not.
So here is wishing me luck.
Will keep you posted.
Weight loss
On the total AWESOME side of things I have lost a total of 5.8kg’s so far. My CM’s I still have to measure but I am so happy I could SH$% rainbows. ;-)
Still lots to go, but baby steps and we will get there. Taking each day, and each meal at a time.
My Microwave is dead, so I am now using my 2 layer steamer, which is okay, just a pain to clean.
Made such a nice vegetable pizza, last night, with loads of vegetables, I tend to just “fry” more like boil, my mushrooms with abit of water to help the cooking process along, before putting them on the pizza. It was so yummy. And had none of those unhappy feelings afterwards either.
Until next time.

The Weekend away and the Prawn Shack
Friday the 26Th – all packed, Made sure all of my LG) Little Girl) stuff is all packed to stay and Granny and Grandpa for the Weekend. Okay it is only one night, but still you worry and you have to pack for anything that could or might happen.
Saturday the 27Th - We were up very early, packed the bakkie, said our good byes and we were on our way, stopped off to get something to eat for brekky, and on the road.
The weather was cold and raining. No sun in sight.
We arrived to our B & B and got all settled, everyone arrived and at 11:30am we were all there and left to go to the Prawn Shack. We had our welcome drinks got all settled and enjoyed our lazy Lunch which only finished at about 5pm. And we were all collected and on our way home at about 6:30pm. And Murphy Law, as we were about to leave the heaven opened and the rained poured down.
We got home after our 45min drive, and started the braai’s and etc.
We all had a great time, I sneaked off to bed by 11ish, and I was finished after beening up so early in the morning.
Sunday Morning, we were up so early again, not by choice, but the Ducks had other plans and they were making such a noise, one had no choice to wake up. If I can call it waking up, didn’t sleep very well at all. It was a very Rustic place we stayed in. A framed grass cabins, with 2 beds with a thin mattress. So after waking up had 2 cups of coffee and waited for everyone to wake up and wait for Breakfast to be served.
We ate brekkie and then we packed up and went home. and just vegged on the couch for the rest of Sunday.
Specialist Visit
Made my way my way to his office. I was very nerves and excited to get some answers. I hate hosptials and his offices were in the hosptial. On what is causing this tongue swelling and other problems I seem to be getting and no one’s seems to know what is going on.
So he is what he said: that I have Allergic Oedema. Basically I swell up from an allergic reaction. He said I have like a 50/50 chance of finding out what causes it, some people never do. At the moment I am staying away from the medications that I have had a reaction too. I am trying to keep things as simple as possible.
He has ordered Blood test, which I will go and visit the Vampires on Friday after work or maybe sooner to get them done. Once that is done we will just have to wait and see what they tell us.
It is quite scary not knowing what is causing it, it is like Russian relent every time I take something or eat something, never knowing if this is going to be the one item that is going to cause swelling.
Until next time.

Wonderfull Food and Summer Time
I love food; I love everything about it, the way it tastes and the way it makes you feel.
And I am learning every day, that food is not bad for you, you need to play around with recipes and dishes, and make them work for you, in a more healthy way. Not loaded with calories and loads of fat.
Making small changes that are making a bit difference, drinking rooibos tea instead of regular tea, changing from Full Cream to low fat or skim milk. Grilling instead of frying.
And I can see this spring and summer, we are going to be doing a lot of Grilling, Hubby just brought a gas braai for outside, so on those hot summer evenings, we can sit outside on our sundeck and have a healthy and light dinner. Great for the soul and waistline.
Our pool is looking good all ready for summer too. Made a personal note to make sure I spend more time swimming this spring and summer. Helps with ones tan as well great for overall workout.
Such exciting times ahead. Talking about exciting times, I never told you what I got for my Woman’s Day gift , and it has been wonderful, I got a 7Inch Galaxy tablet, what a beaut. Been doing all kinds of App to help me, calorie counter, workout log, convert app etc. you name it I most likely downloaded it.
Just counting the days until I received my Blackberry, got about a week to go, getting rather excited. Girls and our toys.
You must try the 30day health muffin recipe it is yummy.
Take care.

Balancing Act.
Things are all upside down. I have either been man down with the flu or been having allergic reactions to what I have no idea. Tongue swelling and hand and feet. Going to see a specialist this week, have on idea what is causing it, I have not eaten or taken anything I haven't had before.
I have had to go back to basics, and plan each meal and day at a time and introduce exercise slowly again. I have been doing 15mins on the bike a day, and slowly increase each work out by 2 mins. Taking things slowly, as I don't want to relapse and end up getting sick and then I am man down for another 2 weeks.
Gail's blog has been a great motivational tool for me. After reading her blogs, I get the extra push I need to get into action. So thanks Gail.
We are going away this weekend to the Prawn Shack, looking forward to the get away, not sure how many points the lazy lunch at the Prawn shack is going to be, but I am sure trying to save points, with exercising and eating light this week.
see ya .

Beef and Bean Chili
Beef and Bean Chili
From the Recipe exchange at http://www.weight-watchers.com/
From The Weight Watchers Complete Cookbook and Program Basics
7.5 Points Per Serving
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon olive oil
1 cup onions, chopped
1/2 cup carrot, chopped
1/4 cup celery, chopped
1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon seeded jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
10 ounces extra-lean ground beef, 10% or less fat
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
2 cups canned plum tomatoes with juice, chopped
16 ounces cooked pinto or kidney beans, rinsed, drained
1/2 teaspoon salt
Pinch pepper
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/4 cup nonfat sour cream
1/4 cup chopped red onion
Chopped fresh cilantro
1. In large saucepan, heat oil; add onions, carrot, celery, bell pepper, garlic and jalapeno. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until onion is translucent, about 15 minutes.
2. Add beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon; saut'e until no longer pink, about 2-3 minutes. Add chili powder, cumin, oregano and coriander, cook and stir 1 minute.
3. Add tomatoes, beans, salt and pepper; reduce heat to low and simmer gently, partially covered, 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in cilantro before serving. Top each serving with 1 tablespoon each of sour cream, red onion and come cilantro.
Makes 4 Servings
Each serving (1 cup) provides: 1 F, 2 V, 2 P, 2 B, 10 opt calories
Per serving: 388 calories, 27 g Protein, 13 g Fat, 43 g Carbohydrate, 566 mg Sodium, 44 mg Cholesterol, 7 g Dietary Fiber
Since there are a lot of ingredients to measure out, which is time consuming, I always double this recipe and freeze individual dinners for later. I do cook it differently. I completely cook the ground beef in a separate pan, drain the fat, then add the cooked beef to the cooked vegetables. I also use regular canned peeled tomatoes instead of canned plum tomatoes because plum tomatoes are so expensive. I also use 2 Tablespoons chili powder instead of 1 T like the recipe calls for, and I add an 8-ounce can of tomato sauce or paste. I also use a whole bell pepper. (I use kidney beans). You will have to make it and adjust ingredients to your taste.

ZUMBA
What is great fun. I have done about 4 classes, so far and I am enjoying them.
Not as boring as a normally aerobics class, and a lot more fun than a gym for sure.
What is so great there are woman of all different size and shapes there, we have a blast.
I need to work on my two left feet. I got with a bunch of mates and we have a good workout and a great laugh as well.
Even though I have been to 4 classes, I can feel the difference compared to when I first went, I am lasting longer and working up a sweat. And listening to great music at the same time.
Keep Skinny
